TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Important information about bookings, safety, and your experience on the water. By booking a sailing or boarding our vessels, you agree to the terms below.
Booking & Payment
All reservations are subject to availability. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to HST and a 3% service fee, added at checkout.
Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel reservations at our discretion in the event of pricing errors, scheduling conflicts, or operational issues.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure are eligible for a full refund. To cancel, contact us by phone or email.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable but may be rescheduled for another sailing within the current operating season, subject to availability.
Tickets purchased within 24 hours of departure are final sale and not eligible for refunds.
If a sailing is cancelled by East-West Shuttle due to weather, safety concerns, or other operational reasons, passengers can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
No-shows are not eligible for refunds. A one-time rescheduling request may be made within 48 hours of the missed departure, subject to availability.
All tickets remain valid until the end of the current operating season (September 1) of the year they were purchased.
Late Arrival & No-Show Policy
All passengers must check in no later than five (5) minutes before the scheduled departure time. Guests who have not checked in by then may be treated as no-shows, and their seats may be released and resold.
We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before departure to allow time for check-in and boarding. Failure to arrive on time may result in forfeiture of your sailing without guarantee of immediate accommodation on the next available departure.
Inclement Weather Policy
Sailings operate in most weather conditions. Departures may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled in the event of unsafe weather, mechanical issues, or other conditions beyond our control.
The captain and East-West Shuttle management reserve the right to determine whether conditions are safe for operation. If a sailing is cancelled by the company, passengers will be offered a rescheduled trip or a refund.
Passenger Conduct & Safety
Passenger safety is our highest priority. All passengers must follow the instructions of the captain and crew at all times.
We reserve the right to refuse boarding or remove passengers who display unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, harassment, or failure to comply with safety instructions.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the duration of the sailing.
Assumption of Risk & Liability
Travel by boat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to weather conditions, vessel movement, and water-related hazards. By boarding our vessels, passengers acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at their own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, East-West Shuttle shall not be liable for personal injury, loss, damage, or delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
Personal Belongings
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. East-West Shuttle is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought on board.
Boarding & Departure
Passengers must arrive at the designated boarding dock before the scheduled departure time. Vessels depart on schedule, and late arrivals may not be accommodated. Missed departures due to late arrival are not eligible for refunds.
Alcohol & Substance Policy
Passengers must comply with all applicable laws regarding alcohol and substances. We reserve the right to refuse boarding to any passenger who appears excessively intoxicated or who may pose a safety risk to themselves, other passengers, or crew.
Photography & Media
Photographs and video may be taken on board for promotional and marketing purposes. By boarding our vessels, passengers consent to the potential use of their image in marketing materials unless they notify staff otherwise prior to departure.
Accessibility & Health Considerations
Passengers with mobility concerns, medical conditions, or other accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can advise on vessel accessibility and boarding procedures. We strive to accommodate all guests where possible, though certain vessels or docking locations may have limitations beyond our control.
Changes to Sailings or Routes
East-West Shuttle reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, vessels, or sailing duration due to weather, marine traffic, safety considerations, or operational requirements. Changes may occur without prior notice and are made with passenger safety and service quality in mind.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
